If you love working with children and want to spend your summer growing in faith and community with other teens and young adults, apply to join our team of camp counselors for our 4th year of Sacred Heart Summer Camp!
Work: Our camp counselors get to work with our campers by planning and leading week-long day camps covering a wide variety of interests: soccer, painting, dance, science, survival, Star Wars, DIY crafting, and more. And, since this is a Catholic camp, they also get to spend time teaching campers about the faith and praying with them. Prayer: As part of their work day, our staff will also get many opportunities for their own spiritual growth: daily Mass, a holy hour in the chapel every day, theology talks from priests and guests speakers, spiritual direction, and confession. Community: We strive to provide opportunities for our staff to gather and grow in community: movie nights, campfires, pool parties, baseball games, and more. |
High School Applicants: Must be at least 16 years old, or on track to complete 10th grade, by summer 2024.
Young Adult Applicants: Maximum age of applicants is usually 22, but some exceptions may apply; contact a camp director to inquire. Questions? Email [email protected] or call 240-901-2254. |
Youth and young adults ages 14 (or graduating 8th grade) - 22 are eligible to volunteer.
Our volunteers are essential in assisting the camp counselors and helping our campers have a great experience! Volunteers participate in the daily spiritual opportunities alongside our staff, as well as some of the social activities outside of camp. It is a great way for teens to train to apply to be a camp counselor once they are of age, or just a great way to serve if you cannot spend your whole summer with us.
