The Community Catholic Youth Ministry (CCYM) is a multi-parish youth group for the middle and high school students of Sacred Heart, St. Catherine’s, and St. Ignatius Hilltop. We strive to offer a variety of opportunities for our students to grow in faith and in community, such as Youth Nights, bonfires, retreats, movie nights, bowling, Bible studies, outdoor excursions, service projects, and more.
To receive announcements and updates from the youth ministry, you can: text the letters “ccym” to 84576 to join our Flocknote texting list, follow us on Instagram and Facebook @ccymcharlescounty, or scroll down to see our calendar. Where do we meet?
Since we are a multi-parish group, CCYM normally meets in one of these locations: 1) The Sacred Heart Friendship Room, which is the hall beneath the church. It can be found by entering the doors at the back of the church, or by entering through the front of the church and going down the stairs on either side of the vestibule. 2) The St. Catherine's Hall & Field located at 7636 Port Tobacco Rd. 3) The CCYM/IHM House, which is located at 106 Port Tobacco Rd. The House is a three-story building to the immediate left of Archbishop Neale School. It used to house the sisters who taught at the school but now hosts youth and young adult activities. |
Help us thrive!
The youth ministry is always looking for adults dedicated to helping our students grow in faith and in community. Without our adult volunteers, youth ministry could not exist, much less thrive. Some of our volunteers contribute by chaperoning youth nights, others by providing food, others through hospitality - with such a variety of gifts and experiences our volunteers bring to the table, the possibilities are endless.
