The Community Catholic Youth Ministry (CCYM) is a multi-parish youth group for middle and high school students. Our main parishes are Sacred Heart, St. Catherine’s, and St. Ignatius Hilltop, but youth from any church, or no church, are always welcome! We strive to offer a variety of opportunities for our students to grow in faith and in community, such as Youth Nights, bonfires, retreats, movie nights, bowling, Bible studies, outdoor excursions, service projects, and more.

Advent Bible Study
Students in middle and high school are invited to a 3-part weekly Bible study focusing on the Sunday Mass readings. Meetings will be held Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm at the IHM House at 106 Port Tobacco Rd: Dec. 3, Dec. 10, and Dec. 17. Dinner will be available at 6:30, and prayer begins at 7. Bring your own Bible or borrow one from us. Contact the youth minister or click below to RSVP.

High School Ski Trip
Save the dates for our High School Ski Trip: Thursday, January 29th - Sunday, February 1st. All high school students are invited to join us for a weekend in the beautiful Canaan Valley in West Virginia! Along with skiing, they have snow boarding, snow tubing, ice skating, an arcade, and an indoor pool. In the mornings and evenings, we gather for Mass and Adoration, along with games around the fire. Housing and meals are covered, participants only pay for lift tickets and rental equipment, but there is also financial assistance available. For further details and to sign up, click below. Looking for volunteers!
The youth ministry is always looking for adults dedicated to helping our students grow in faith and in community. Without our adult volunteers, youth ministry could not exist, much less thrive. In particular, we are currently looking for volunteers to be present at our youth activities and events, and volunteers to help feed our teens are our various events. Where do we meet?
Since we are a multi-parish group, CCYM normally meets in one of these locations: 1) The Sacred Heart Friendship Room, which is the hall beneath the church. It can be found by entering the doors at the back of the church, or by entering through the front of the church and going down the stairs on either side of the vestibule. 2) The St. Catherine's Hall & Field located at 7636 Port Tobacco Rd. 3) The IHM House, which is located at 106 Port Tobacco Rd. The House is a three-story building to the immediate left of Archbishop Neale School. It used to house the sisters who taught at the school but now hosts youth and young adult activities. |
